Microsoft Azure provides a web-based user interface that you can use to create and manage your resources in the Microsoft public cloud. You can access the Microsoft Azure Portal by directing your browser to http://azure.microsoft.com/.

As shown in Figure 1, you are directed to an initial screen that allows you to select a variety of actions that range from exploring the features of the Microsoft Azure services, reviewing subscriptions, accessing documentation and add-ons, getting support, managing your account, and accessing the Portal.

Selecting the portal option brings you to the Microsoft Azure login screen. After the login is successful, you are directed to the Portal screen shown in Figure 2. From this screen, you can view the status of all current resources, as well as create new resources.
