Once the driver is downloaded, double click the file to begin the installation. Accept all the defaults, and after the driver has been installed, follow these steps to configure the card to access our wireless network:

1. Click on the “Start” menu, select “All Programs”, then “Atheros”, then “Atheros Client Utility”:

2. Select “Use Atheros Client Utility to configure my wireless network settings” and then click “OK”:

3. When the Atheros Client Utility opens, click the “Profile Management” tab:

4. Select the “Default” profile and click “Modify”:

5. Name the profile “Colorado College”, and enter “coloradocollege” in “SSID1″. Then, click the “Security” tab:

6. Select “802.1x”, and then “LEAP” under “802.1x EAP Type”, then click “Configure”:

7. Enter your username and password (it will ask you to type your password twice to confirm it), and then your domain “coloradocollege” (all one word, all lower case):

8. Click “OK”, and then you should see the following screen come up:

9. Registering the Network Card:
After you have configured the Atheros Utility, you must register the adapter’s Ethernet address (if you’ve already registered your wired connection, your wireless connection was registered at the same time so you don’t need to do this). Just open up your web browser and go to a website - you will be redirected to the registration page. Then follow the directions to register.
